Privacy Policy
Speckle ("we", "us") provides real-time sales-call guidance through a desktop application, a Chrome extension, and a web dashboard at app.gospeckle.com. This policy describes what data Speckle processes, where it goes, and your choices. It applies to all Speckle surfaces.
What Speckle processes
- Account data — your email address, name, and team membership, stored in our database (Supabase).
- Your playbook content — the cards, scripts, and documents you upload or author, stored in our database and used only to power your own live-call matching.
- Live call audio — during a call you start, Speckle captures your microphone and the call audio (system audio on desktop; the browser tab's audio in the Chrome extension). Audio is streamed for live transcription and is never stored by Speckle: it is processed in transit only.
- Call records — after a call ends, the transcript, matched-card log, and an AI-generated summary are saved to your account so you can review them. Audio itself is not saved.
- Billing data — payments are processed by Stripe. Speckle never sees or stores card numbers; we store only your subscription status.
How call audio flows
On the desktop app, audio streams directly from your computer to our speech-to-text provider (Deepgram). In the Chrome extension, audio streams to Speckle's call server, which relays it to Deepgram and runs the matching engine; the call server holds audio in memory only for the duration of processing and does not write it to disk.
Service providers
| Provider | Data | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Deepgram | Live call audio (in transit) | Real-time speech-to-text |
| Groq / OpenAI | Uploaded playbook text; short transcript snippets; the final transcript at call end | Playbook extraction, call-state tracking, post-call summaries. Never used to generate what the live HUD shows, and never sent call audio. |
| Supabase | Account data, playbook content, call records | Database, authentication, and storage |
| Stripe | Billing details | Payments and subscriptions |
| Resend | Email address | Transactional and lifecycle email |
What we don't do
- We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising.
- We do not use your calls, audio, or playbook content to train AI models.
- We do not store call audio, on any surface.
- The Chrome extension captures audio only after you explicitly start a call, and only from the tab you choose; it captures nothing while idle.
Product analytics
We collect aggregated, de-identified usage and performance data — which features are used, how often cards match, latency, and error rates — to operate and improve Speckle, including improving Speckle's matching quality and the algorithms that power it. This data cannot identify you or your call participants and never includes call audio, call content, or your playbook. Data obtained through the Chrome extension is used only to provide and improve the extension's single purpose, consistent with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Call recording laws
You are responsible for complying with the call-recording and consent laws of your and your participants' jurisdictions. Many jurisdictions require you to notify all participants that a call is being transcribed. Speckle recommends disclosing transcription at the start of every call.
Data retention & deletion
Call records and playbook content are retained while your account is active. To delete specific call records, your playbook, or your entire account and its data, email team@gospeckle.com and we will complete the deletion within 30 days.
