Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Speckle — the desktop application, the Chrome extension, and the web dashboard at app.gospeckle.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Speckle provides real-time guidance during sales calls: it transcribes a call you start, matches the conversation against playbook content you author, and displays that content back to you. Speckle displays your authored words verbatim; it is an aid, not a substitute for your own judgment on a call.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure. You're responsible for activity under your account.
• Each self-serve account is an individual workspace. Team features (pods) are governed by the plan you purchase.

3. Call recording & consent — your responsibility

You control when Speckle captures audio, and you are solely responsible for complying with all applicable call-recording, wiretapping, and consent laws in your jurisdiction and your call participants' jurisdictions — including, where required, notifying participants that the call is being transcribed and obtaining their consent. Many U.S. states and many countries require all-party consent. If you don't have the required consent, don't start a Speckle call.

4. Your content

• Your playbook content, transcripts, and call records are yours. You grant Speckle a license to host and process them solely to provide the Service to you.
• You're responsible for having the rights to any content you upload.
• We never use your call content, audio, or playbook to train AI models, and we never show your content to other customers.

5. Usage data

We collect aggregated, de-identified usage and performance data (for example: feature usage, match rates, latency, and error rates) and use it to operate, secure, and improve the Service — including improving Speckle's matching quality and the algorithms that power it. This data does not identify you or your call participants and does not include call content. Data obtained through the Chrome extension is used only as described in our Privacy Policy and in accordance with the Chrome Web Store's Limited Use requirements.

6. Plans, billing, and the free tier

• The free tier includes a limited number of calls. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe until cancelled.
• You can cancel anytime from the Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law, including consent and privacy laws;
• Capture audio of people who have not consented where consent is required;
• Reverse engineer, resell, or provide the Service to third parties as your own offering;
• Probe, disrupt, or overload the Service or attempt to access other customers' data.

8. Availability & changes

We work hard to keep the Service fast and available, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Live features depend on third-party providers (speech-to-text, hosting) and your network; we may modify features over time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speckle's total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and Speckle is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data is deleted per the retention terms in the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
